To get the best action and hookup rate from our hollow baits, jig head sizing matters.
These sizes are what we recommend and run ourselves.
15cm Hollowbait
→ 7/0 jig head
20cm Hollowbait
→ 9/0 jig head
→ 10/0 jig head
This setup keeps the hook sitting correctly through the body, allows the bait to swim naturally, and avoids overpowering the plastic with too much hardware.
If you’re fishing heavier current or deeper water, you can adjust weight — but stick to these hook sizes as your baseline.
